Me entero en EFE que AENA ha abierto expediente a la Unión Temporal de Empresas Iberia-Eulen porque no se asistió a una persona de movilidad reducida que llegó a Barajas en un vuelo operado por Air Comet, procedente de Buenos Aires.
Desde el pasado 22 de julio, la UTE Iberia-Eulen se encarga en el aeropuerto de Barajas de la asistencia a personas con movilidad reducida (PMR). AENA ha asegurado que la UTE Iberia-Eulen se hará cargo de los gastos que haya ocasionado este mal servicio y ha lamentado las molestias que este hecho pueda haber causado a las citadas personas.
Según publica un diario nacional, se vieron envueltas en el incidente Alicia Kier, de 75 años, y su hija Patricia Martínez, de 45 y con discapacidad intelectual, que viajaron desde Buenos Aires para instalarse en Granada con su hijo y hermano, respectivamente.
El diario asegura que este último había solicitado a AENA el servicio de asistencia a personas con movilidad reducida y nadie acudió en su búsqueda, por lo que ambas se dirigieron desde la terminal 1 a la 4 por sus propios medios para tomar el vuelo de Iberia a Granada.
La compañía aérea les comunicó que tenían exceso de equipaje y aseguran que “ahí comenzó su calvario”, ya que perdieron el vuelo a la ciudad andaluza porque no sabían hacer la gestión de pagar el sobrepeso y nadie las ayudó a excepción de un falso médico.
Este supuesto facultativo las acompañó a la estación de autobuses de Madrid, donde desapareció con los 100 euros que ambas mujeres le dieron para que les sacara los billetes a Granada.

Este programa persigue que puedan acceder y progresar con normalidad en su proceso de formación académica universitaria las personas con capacidades distintas de las normales, contribuyendo a hacer efectivo el principio de igualdad. Nuestro clima será excepcional (escribo a 28ºC, viendo un trozito de mar con un ligero Levante a través de la ventana), pero andamos aún muy atrás en aspectos sociales que no dependen de la Naturaleza sino de nuestros gobernantes y de lo que hacen con “nuestros” dineros.
Aunque en muchas ciudades existe el transporte adaptado especial a petición del interesado (¡ya nos gustaría que en Málaga funcionara bien!), me entero a través del blog de Xavier Gabarrós que Barcelona quiere minimizarlo, al considerar que todos los transportes públicos colectivos están adaptados a las personas con movilidad reducida.
Sólo podrán solicitar un transporte especial quienes superen una nueva evaluación, propia del municipio. No os perdáis el artículo: somos un país de locos, burócratas… ¿o locos-burócratas?

Como andaluz, siento vergüenza propia: sólo las playas de los municipios de Adra, Almería, Carboneras, El Ejido, Garrucha, Mojácar, Nijar y Roquetas del Mar (Almería), Chipiona, Tarifa, Barbate, Conil de la Frontera, Vejer de la Frontera y San Fernando (Cádiz), Motril (Granada), Almonte, Ayamonte, Isla Cristina y Lepe (Huelva), Málaga, Torremolinos, Torrox, Estepona, Fuengirola (Málaga) cuentan con algún servicio para personas de capacidades distintas de las consideradas normales.
Con diferencia, y con relación a su población y turismo, no hay duda de que Almería es la provincia andaluza con mayor sensibilidad hacia el problema. ¡Bien por Almería! Y que aprendan los ayuntamientos de la “Costa del Golf”: no sólo de campos vivimos las personas.
