La Fundación Privada para la Atención a Personas Dependientes de Cornellá (un municipio cercano a Barcelona) ha puesto en marcha un servicio de sillas móviles - orugas para ayudar a subir y bajar las escaleras a personas con movilidad reducida. El servicio, que se complementa con otro de entrega de compras a domicilio, espera asistir a 400 personas. Según la noticia original, en Cornellá hay unos 3.000 pisos en inmuebles sin ascensor y en los que no siempre es posible instalar uno.
Me parece una excelente idea, pues puedo imaginar que en muchos de esos inmuebles, y no sólo de Cornellá sino en toda España, son antiguos o bien están habitados por personas de bajos ingresos. Ver, por ejemplo, esta noticia de “Desde mi silla de ruedas” en la que propia Junta de Andalucía incumple su normativa en un inmueble de su propiedad habitado por una persona de movilidad reducida.
¡A ver si los Ayuntamientos, Comunidades y Administraciones toman nota!
